There is probably a major problem lurking on your sales page right now. And it could be hurting your profits. Experts agree that one of the most important factors in a successful website is credibility. This frequently translates into the credibility of the site owner. People are more likely to buy from somebody they believe in. Is your website as credible as it could be? People judge credibility by many subtle factors. Does the design of the site look professional? Is the site well written? Are there typos and grammar errors strewn throughout the site? Is the author believable? Does the author have experience in this market or with this product? These are all important factors. We also know that a strong guarantee is a key part of a successful sales page. Taken one step further, the reader needs to believe he will actually get a refund if requested. And herein often lies a major inconsistency. Look at your sales page and ask yourself: Who is standing behind the product? What do you provide for contact information? If there is only an e-mail address, or worse yet, no contact information at all, then you do not have a believable guarantee. If you want someone to believe that you stand behind your product you need to be reachable. Put your complete contact information on your web site. I'm not just talking about an e-mail address. Consider adding your snail mail address and even, dare I say, your phone number. At first, I worried about using this approach. I feared getting calls at all hours of the night. I worried about getting overwhelmed. But, I reasoned, I could always remove the phone number if it became a problem. Turns out, having my phone number on the site is a blessing. I have made dozens of sales because I have been available to answer one or two simple questions from a prospect. I now look at each telephone call as an opportunity to help someone solve their problem and, frequently, earn their business. I have received numerous comments from customers saying that one of the reasons they purchased is because they can tell there is a real person standing behind this business. The fact it is, I only get about one or two phone calls a day. And my sites have thousands of visitors every day. In summary, take a look at your own sales page or contact page with a critical eye. Do you look like just another anonymous web site? Or is there a person there; ready, willing and able to help. The answer to these questions may have a lot to do with your conversion rates. At the very least, test putting your phone number on your web site. Even if your web business is part time, with a good voice mail system you will sound professional and you can return phone calls when you are able. Try this credibility improvement. And see if it doesn't improve your sales.
The CEO had just breezed through the office for his monthly back-office visit. Stopping briefly at Charli's desk, he seemed to be mesmerized by the pumpkin shaped stress ball that had been sitting on Charli's printer since she came back from the team-building seminar. The discussion soon turned to one about the value of team-building and how the CEO had been considering something similar for the senior managers. So, what was the name of the provider for your team building, Charli? the CEO asked.Umm, I think it's printed on the stress ball observed a relieved Charli.Who can really predict the power of product placement? If human nature follows its course, delegates on a workshop or seminar will return to their desk, file the event paperwork under N for Never read again and carry on with their normal lives. However, give them a gizmo, wotsit or doodah that has your logo branded on it and has some marginal functionality, they may well end up putting it on their desk or, if it's clothing, wearing it. This form of advertising is not just the domain of Coca Cola and Nike, it can be applied to any brand. The range of products to brand with your logo is enormous and includes everything from the ubiquitous coffee mugs, pens, mouse mats and memo holders to more expensive conference folders, USB flash memory keyrings, umbrellas and golfing jackets. Prices range from a few cents to $20 or $30 per item plus a setup cost which can be from $30 to $100 depending on the sophistication of the branding, so most budgets can handle some sort of promotional gift. Allow a month or more to have your gifts branded. Some simpler items with single color branding can be turned round inside a week; however it is always better to have time to check the quality.Designing conversation piecesSeminars, workshops and roadshows are prime candidates for cross-marketing your entire range of products and services. Where they are being used for in-company training, workshops can act as a vehicle for communicating company policy on a wide range of issues. When your delegates arrive, when they break for coffee or break for lunch, there will always be some who may find small-talk and conversation difficult. Providing them with a combination of information leaflets, exhibition boards and perhaps an endless loop presentation on a small screen monitor may not only keep them occupied. This background activity could lead to additional sales, better communication and also act as a stimulus for conversation.Although Charli had not consciously absorbed all of the information presented as a side-show at the seminar she attended, she was amazed just how much she had taken in at the subliminal level. For example, she was able to recall that there had been some mention of custom-designed seminars for senior teams and that the training company specialized in outdoor challenges for not-so-fit executives; managing to mention this without glancing at the CEO's rather generous waistline.
Today, canvas is the most popular of all art media. From fine art reproductions, contemporary art, abstract art, original paintings and digital photos can be turned into canvas prints.Although canvas is certainly the most popular and preferred medium of painters nowadays, back then the use of canvas for paintings was not prevalent. Until the time comes when the use of canvas was seen as a solution for oil paintings to prevent deterioration, it radically changed the nature of paintings.Printing on fine art materials such as canvas and watercolor papers is often referred as Giclee which is a French term that means to spray or squirt, which is how an inkjet printer probably works. However, inkjet canvas printer is not the same as a standard desktop inkjet printer, and is much larger at over a meter wide.Using the inkjet canvas printing process to create canvas prints can provide you a better color accuracy than other means of reproduction to satisfy the rigid print quality followed by the worlds leading artists and photographers in creating masterpieces. Canvas printing process offer artists and photographers many advantages. For example, if youre an artist you will put a lot of time and effort into a painting and experience joy selling it, but when it is sold you have to start all over again. However, if you use this inkjet canvas printer, you can sell your work of art paintings over and over again because you can reproduce your art work as much as more as you want. Great idea, huh?!Inkjet canvas printing has also become popular to the photographers who are applying their pictures to stretched canvas and other digital art papers to give images a whole new quality. Photographers find the quality of inkjet canvas printing to be very appealing. They can also be reproduced to any size and onto other forms of media using inkjet canvas printing. If you want to create a painting printed on canvas using inkjet printers I strongly advice that you must look for the printer that is using professional 8 or 12 color inkjet. For instance, Epson and Hewlett-Packard these printers are capable of producing very detailed prints for both the fine art and photographic markets. Using rolls of canvas, is another way, printers can produce prints up to 44" in width and unlimited length. Even professional artists can have a difficulty in telling the original from the copy when printed at a high resolution of 2880 dpi.
If you're trying to market to adults who are now in their thirties, then you need to understand the best method for reaching generation X. Who is Generation X? Gen Xers were born between 1965 - 1976 and make up about 17% of the U.S. population. As a whole, this group is both independent and skeptical, existing in the shadow of Baby Boomers. As this group moves into their mid 30s and 40s, Gen Xers are establishing themselves as consumers who are starting families and buying homes. Gen Xers grew up with recessions, single-parent households, cable TV, the Internet and other personal technology. Consequently, this group consumes media differently than earlier generations. Communicating with them through traditional marketing channels can be difficult. So, how can you reach these groups, communicate your message, and get them to take action? The answer is more traditional than you think. In combination with online marketing, direct mail is one of the most powerful ways to market to Gen X. According to a recent study conducted by InnoMedia, NuStats, and Vertis, 86% of Gen Xers bring in the mail the day it's delivered. Furthermore, 68% of Gen X retail direct mail readers have used coupons received in the mail. Gen X consumers rate 75% of the mail they receive as valuable. To reach Gen X with direct mail, there are number of basic marketing practices you should keep in mind. Before discussing these tips, keep in mind that your direct mail efforts can be supplemented with online marketing in the form of targeted site advertising, key word buys, or perhaps giving consumers a reason to visit you online via email (contests, sweepstakes, discounts, etc.).Direct Mail is most effective when you understand your audience, time your campaign appropriately, provide a compelling offer, and develop a relevant message. AudienceKnowing your audience is essential for the success of any direct marketing campaign. Having information about Gen Xers in general terms is a place to start, but you need to dig deeper and develop a fuller understanding of the segment. You should know what motivates them, what their greatest pains are, their latent needs, and what products or solutions they currently use. Once you've gotten to know your audience, other marketing criteria can fall into place. TimingCommunicating your message at the right time can make all the difference in your marketing results. For example, selling tax software immediately after April 15th won't produce the results you're looking for. Therefore, you need to have an understanding of your audience's timeline and when they are in the market to buy your product or service. Be sure to reach them with enough time to respond to your offer, but don't leave it open ended. OfferMany consumers need a reason to buy, especially Gen Xers who are normally skeptical. Your offer should provide some benefit to the buyer as well as provide some level of comfort in moving forward with a purchase. This can be in the form of a satisfaction guarantee or something similar. One great technique is to place your offer on the outside of the envelope that contains your marketing materials. This can help to differentiate your mail and get your envelope opened by prospects. MessageYour message needs to resonate with prospective buyers. Do you understand their needs? Have you communicated benefits as well as features? Are you solving a problem for them? Have you provided a simple, yet compelling message? Many direct marketers talk about the "long" letter versus the "short" letter. There are a number of studies that validate the use of both long a short letters in a direct marketing pieces. As long as your message resonates with buyers, it doesn't matter how long it is. Be sure to test your messages on an ongoing basis. If you're marketing to Generation X, use direct mail in your marketing mix. Individuals in these groups respond to direct mail. Keep in mind however, that a direct marketing piece should be supplemented with other forms of marketing - Internet marketing, search engine optimization, advertising, etc. Direct mail is your key to success with Generations X when used as the main vehicle of your marketing campaign.
Every poster printing is like a book that tells a story. Simplicity is the key to it. A reader would only take a few minutes to look at the poster that is why there has to be few clutters as much as possible. Instead, informative statements and attractive graphics should be included in it. Less detail should be in the poster. Keep in mind that it will be one of the many in the exhibit area so you have to make sure that it will capture the reader attention. The purpose of a poster is basically to present a piece of work in a simple and clear manner. It should effectively present a useful information and food for thought. If the details presented in the poster has been described and illustrated better in a paper, consider making the paper available as handout at the poster session. Additionally, the use of colors can be very helpful in maximizing both the clarity of images and making the poster captivating. There several things you need to know when designing and printing your own poster. First, dont make the title too large or too small. Consider its distance with the audience. Avoid also from making it too large. If it exceeds the width of the poster consider shortening the title and remember that all caps letters are harder to read. Also, use colors in your posters as it helps to convey additional meaning. But carefully select the colors that you will use. Make sure that the colors draws attention and serve meaningful distinctions. Remember also to give credit when it is due. Include a short acknowledgment in the poster to recognize everyone who helped you in the process. And most importantly, write simply, plainly and briefly. Stress out the key pointers and your conclusions in the poster. Do not focus in little stuff. Effectively communicate the big picture. Do not also assume that the readers would easily understand your poster. So consider adding helpful tutorial sections to the poster such as an Internet address pointing to an important material or anything else that would help teach your readers what they need to know to understand your poster. You could also use some gimmicks to catch your readers attention but make sure that they dont backfire. And use good judgment in everything that you will include in the poster. So make your posters as interesting as possible but remember not to over do it.
